About

Katlyn Olson grew up in Hillsboro, North Dakota, where she was active in both athletics and academics. She attended the University of Jamestown, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology while playing collegiate softball. After graduating in 2019, she continued her education at the University of Jamestown and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2022. Katlyn is certified in Dry Needling and Graston Technique.

As a physical therapist at Total Balance’s Hawley clinic, Katlyn loves the family atmosphere and the close-knit relationships she builds with both patients and coworkers. Her approach to care starts with listening. She takes the time to understand what each patient is experiencing so she can create an individualized treatment plan that aligns with their goals and helps them return to the activities they enjoy most.

Katlyn is passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love—whether that’s gardening, playing sports or simply moving through everyday life with confidence. She also enjoys educating patients about the full value of physical therapy, emphasizing that treatment is about much more than exercise. By identifying the root cause of pain, restoring function and preventing future injuries, she helps patients achieve lasting results.

Outside of work, Katlyn enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, hiking, spending time at the lake and making memories with her husband, daughter and dog.
