Do I need to be a patient at Total Balance to join?

No. Our fitness centers are open to the community – you do not need to be a patient to join.

Access to all Total Balance locations, easy-to-use strength and cardio equipment, group fitness classes and a supportive environment. On-site physical therapy, personal training and nutrition guidance are available when needed.

Yes it is a “regular gym” but there are some differences – by design. Our fitness centers bridge the gap between rehab (physical / occupational therapy) and real-life fitness. You’ll find a supportive environment focused on safe, effective movement rather than crowded floors or high-pressure gym culture.

Yes. Personal training is available for all experience levels and goals, from getting started to building strength and consistency. We also offer semi-private personal training, which blends the structure and accountability of one-on-one training and group fitness classes, at a lower rate per session than one-on-one training.

Yes – unlimited group fitness classes are included but classes vary by location. Check your preferred location for the schedule.
Yes. You can sign up for group fitness classes through the “My Member Account” mobile app. To create an account, you will need your Total Balance account number. If you have any questions or need assistance, please give us a call or stop by the front desk.

Yes. We accept SilverSneakers, OnePass and similar programs. Seniors without a fitness benefit through their insurance have access to a discounted membership of $20 / month.

Yes. Many members are new to exercise, returning after time away or continuing to exercise post-rehabilitation. The environment is supportive and judgment-free. Plus, we have physical therapists and fitness experts on-site during regular hours so you can workout in a safe and secure environment.
Yes. Many people transition from therapy to the gym. Your physical therapist or the front desk staff can answer any questions you have about using the gym after physical therapy treatment.

Yes – but it depends on the time. Guest passes may only be used during staffed hours. Check with your preferred location to confirm staffed hours.

Cancellations must be done in person due to security purposes. Visit any Total Balance location during staffed hours for assistance. Month-to-month membership may be canceled at any time. Multi-month plans offer lower monthly rates and require a 30-day cancellation notice.
