About
Emma is a physical therapist originally from Bloomington, MN. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mary. Since joining Total Balance in 2024, she has loved helping patients return to the activities they enjoy while building meaningful relationships along the way.
Emma loves the strong sense of community at our North Fargo location—a place where patients, gym members and coworkers genuinely support one another. She especially enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and continuing to be a familiar face for them as they transition from therapy into the gym and long-term wellness.
Her approach to care starts with connection. Emma believes in getting to know the person behind the injury or diagnosis and creating an environment where patients feel welcomed, comfortable and supported throughout their recovery journey. Open communication and trust are a huge part of helping people succeed.
Emma is especially passionate about women’s health and educating women on the importance of resistance training—including not being afraid to lift heavy. She loves helping people of all ages build confidence through movement and strength.
One thing Emma wishes more people knew is that physical therapy is about much more than exercise. PTs also use hands-on techniques like soft tissue work, joint mobilizations and dry needling while providing education about pain, movement and lifestyle habits that can improve overall quality of life.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys snuggling with her cat, Beau, watching hockey, calling her sisters, running, rollerblading, painting, baking and online shopping.
