About
Lucas earned his Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of North Dakota. He graduated from NDSU in 2023 and went on to earn his doctorate from UND in 2026.
Lucas became a physical therapist because he wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Building relationships with patients and helping them return to the activities they enjoy most is one of the most rewarding parts of his career. He also appreciates the opportunity to prescribe exercise as part of treatment and believes physical activity is one of the best forms of medicine.
His approach to care is centered on the individual. Lucas recognizes that every patient has unique goals, needs and lifestyles, so he creates personalized treatment plans that encourage movement, build confidence and improve function. His goal is for every patient to leave therapy with the knowledge and confidence to continue living an active, healthy life long after rehabilitation is complete.
Lucas is especially passionate about treating sports injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Having experienced several injuries himself, he understands firsthand how an injury can impact someone both physically and mentally. Those experiences inspired him to become a physical therapist and continue to motivate him to educate, encourage and support his patients throughout their recovery.
One thing Lucas wishes more people knew is that physical therapy is about much more than recovering from an injury. Physical therapists can help identify movement limitations early, reduce pain, restore function and prevent minor issues from becoming more significant problems.
Outside of work, Lucas enjoys walking his dog, Winston, playing soccer, basketball and pickleball, and traveling with his wife.
